![]() 45km later with cruise set and speed steady at 100km/h no "transmission system problem" message.Ĭhange the transmission filter, it worked for me. Heated it up to operating temperature, then hit the highway with cruise set at 100km/h. Once I installed the new filter and the transmission cooler, I went for a good run. I COULD BARELY GET ANY AIR THROUGH! The filter was basically plugged. When I removed the old filter, I hooked up the remainder of the hose unused from the transmission cooler. Prior to installing the filter I hooked it up to a bit of hose (10' 3/8ths) and blew air through it, it had quite good flow through the filter and tube, enough air to feel on the end of the filter regardless of which direction I installed the filter on. While doing so I also changed the transmission fluid filter, other than the whole job being a bit of a PITA, I managed to get it done without too much frustration. I installed an overkill transmission cooler today (Tru-cool LPD 4588). The dealer parts staff said they don't ever sell them, and that they don't even recommend changing them. It would just flash, the only inconvienice is that when in reverse the camera wouldn't display on the dash.Īfter the transmission fluid change I purchased a new transmission fluid filter. There were no drivability changes whatsoever. I changed the fluid, fully (x3 procedure), no change. I looked into the onboard diagnostic system through the navigation screen and it did show a services error, but nothing useful. ![]() I hooked my code reader up to the car, no codes, even with this error on the dash. P,R,N,D,D4,L this would pop up at first when driving 95-105km/h. Owned from new.Īt 98k km I began experiencing a random "transmission system problem" message with all the transmission positions letters overlayed on each other at the bottom of the dash. I wanted to share some experience with my Pilot (2017 EX with AWD, sensing and 6AT) in Canada. TL DR: Changed transmission filter and errors went away.
